What is Mentor Web Blocks

Mentor Web Blocks is a ground breaking free and open source Umbraco package that further enhances the already fantastic Umbraco CMS. Mentor Web Blocks adds drag and drop website building functionality for content editors, and excellent code encapsulation for developers.

What is this package?

This is the Web Forms version of Mentor Web Blocks.  This package brings Live Editing to an already awesome package.  Live Editing allows content editors to manage content from the front end of their own web site.  This is VERY nice for those content editors who just want to get straight to the point and manage content on their site. 

When the content editor is editing, they are viewing a live preview of their web site of unpublished content.  From this view the content editor can:

• Edit Wysiwyg content
• Add, edit and remove blocks from the page
• Save
• Save and Publish

Save, and Save and Publish work exactly as it does in the backoffice of Umbraco.  If the content editor doesn't have permission to Publish then they will just be able to Save and Send To Publish.

How to install?

Before you can use this package, you will need Mentor Web Blocks installed.

If not, you can download it here: http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/mentor-web-blocks Note: We recommend starting out with the runway site which is already an Umbraco web site!

Here are the steps to install:

1. Download this package
2. Install local package (this package)
3. Once installed, add the following line under the form runat=server tag
