    WebForms or MVC in Umbraco 7

    Contour

    We are looking at providing web builder functionality for a client website. We are using Umbraco 7.0.4 with the default rendering engine set to WebForms rather than MVC.

    Will Contour work under this setup or does it have to be using MVC?

    Hi Chris

    Contour should still work even though you're using Webforms as your template engine in Umbraco.

    For instance we have Contour running on a 4.11 site using Webforms where Contour works nicely even though Contour is running MVC.

    ...Forgot to add this: However before installing Contour you could make a backup of both files and your database and if something would fail (unexpectedly) then it's easy to rollback.
