Thanks for the reply Tim, Am I correct in understanding that the form entries in Contour when extracted arranges the data in alphabetical order of the column names as opposed to the order in the form? i e, if the form has fields in the order Firstname, lastname, email, age , in the entries extract to csv data will be arranged in columns following the column order age, email, firstname, lastname?

Yup that's correct
Sorry, but I have had several queries on this one. Why cannot it pick up columns in the order that is in the form? Can I do anything to change it?

Well the export is basicly an transformation of the records xml.
If you want to change this you could change the xslt file that is being used it's in /umbraco/plugins/contour/xslt
