Did you have any luck solving this? I'm having the same issue with multiple sites (7.0.2 and 7.1). Tried another server with the same results.. :-/
*edit*
I think I found the issue! If Helicon Ape (http://www.helicontech.com/ape/) is installed at server/IIS, something makes umbraco 7 break... I tried installing / uninstalling three times just make sure...!
On further investigation, it seems that in a moment of exceptional clarity I set the umbracoTimeoutInMinutes app setting to zero. Oops. Resetting it to a positive integer fixes the problem - worth checking.
Umbraco V7 Login error - remainingAuthSeconds
Good evening,
After publishing the site to my webserver, everything works, except Belle, the backend of Umbraco.
After a successful login I get the fowling error:
The user object is invalid, the remainingAuthSeconds is required.
There a multiple form post about this subject, but none of them give me a right answer.
So, I will try it with a new post.
What do I need to change to get Umbraco working again?
With kind regards,
Jan van Helvoort,
Someone?

i didn't found a solution, we went back to Umbraco 6.1.6 We don't use Helicon ape :(
It's solved in 7.1.1.. ;)
Hi,
I'm using 7.1.5 and my whole backend is not accessible. SO it seems as if the problem is not solved...
The hosting company also has Helicontech Ape installed.
Now I'm trying to disable the module with them...
Thanks
bye Matthias
Hi all,
This hasn't been solved in v7.2.8 either it seems - see https://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-7/using-umbraco-7/49183-Login-error-The-user-object-is-invalid-the-remainingAuthSeconds-is-required
Anyone found a fix yet?
Cheers,
David
