I am experiencing same problems. Bold style is converted to <span> tag instead of <strong> tag

Posting here though slightly unrelated; I pretty consistently get "aw snap" errors when working in an RTE field, adding hyperlinks to media items. Especially if there are more than a few (say 10 on a page). By the 3rd or 4th link, it crashes and of course the page isn't saved.

Happens regularly enough that I now edit link-heavy pages outside of Umbraco and bring them back in. Haven't tried Firefox or IE yet.

Using Umbraco 6 on SQL Server 2008 platform. I also need to get more familiar with crash logs to find out how to diagnose what's happening just before the crash (if it registers anything at all).
