    FT junior Umbraco Developer with DOD Secret Clearance in McLean, VA

    The candidate will be part of a 2-4 person collaborative agile team responsible for the development, performance, support and maintenance of an Umbraco 7 CMS system. The candidate will be expected to design, develop, and implement Umbraco modules using ASP.NET 4.5, MVC 4.0, JavaScript, Visual Studio 2012, Microsoft Team System, Cascading Style Sheets, HTML, and other Microsoft-based technologies. The candidate will migrate existing PHP/Drupal 6 CMS solution and data into the Umbraco platform.  The candidate must be able to transform complex customer requirements into working, maintainable enterprise-level modules.  The candidate will be asked to monitor IIS 7.5 application servers and rapidly troubleshoot and fix performance or functionality issues that arise. Additionally, the candidate will adapt off-the-shelf solutions to meet government customer requirements and will be expected to work with the government support teams as required, resolving test findings and troubleshooting the hosted application instances.

    required Technical skills:

    • Minimum three (3) years hands-on experience developing ASP .Net web applications using the MVC Framework 3 or 4 (3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5)

      • .Net C#

      • JavaScript and specifically JQUERY

      • Bootstrap

      • CSS

      • HTML

    • Minimum four (4) to five (5) years’ experience with a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), either a Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database. Experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures.

    • Prior experience working with web services and SOAP (Web API)

    desired Technical skills:

     

    • Experience with Umbraco 6/7

    • Experience with Drupal

    • Experience with Active Directory

    • Working knowledge
