Hiring Full-Time Developers with Umbraco Experience

    Hello Umbraco friends,

We're looking to hire full-time developers in Pittsburgh, PA. Umbraco is a significant requirement for the job, specifically the ability to structure the back-end to be extremely lightweight and client friendly, while doing all the fancy razor and xslt logic that our clients will probably never touch.

If you're a rockstar developer, but you have no interest in Pittsburgh, we'll consider a remote full-time employee.

Here are the job details, you can also apply here... http://www.agency1903.com/careers/

    _________

We are searching for a mid-to-senior level web developer who will be responsible for developing innovative, reusable Websites, Web-platforms and campaigns. We’re not looking for a developer who is content with one language, rather we need a developer who can crank out an XSLT based site one day and program a Wordpress theme the next.  It’s imperative that candidates are abreast all new technologies and have a firm understanding of PHP, ASP.Net, Microsofts MVC Platform and popular enterprise and open-source CMS software. Additionally, this role will require internal collaboration and potential client interaction.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with Project Managers and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables
    • Produce project estimates during sales process, including expertise required, total number of people required, total number of development hours required, etc
    • Attend client meetings during the sales process and during development when needed
    • Work with clients and Project Managers to build and refine graphic designs prior to sharing with the client. Must have strong skills in Photoshop
    • Convert raw images and layouts from a graphic designer into CSS/XHTML/mobile themes.
    • Determine appropriate CMS architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients
    • Communicate to the Project Manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays
    • Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients
    • Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities
    • Be actively involved in and contribute regularly to the Umbraco and Wordpress development communities
    • Develop innovative, reusable Web-based tools for internal and client use

    Required Skills

    • Ability to not throw furnishings when you’re struggling to debug code
    • BS in computer science, mathematics, music or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
    • 3 years minimum experience with HTML/XHTML and CSS
    • 2 years minimum Web programming experience, including PHP and ASP.Net. JSP (JBOSS & ATG) is a plus
    • 2 years minimum experience with XSLT
    • 1 year minimum experience with Microsoft Razor
    • 1 year minimum experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle and a good working knowledge of MSSQL
    • Development experience using extensible web authoring tools
    • Experience developing and implementing open source software projects
    • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
    • Experience with Umbraco will make you super high on our list
