No sub-file with id _kpk.f6 found

My client started getting this error when publishing yesterday morning.

I have reindexed the site using /umbraco/reindex.aspx but it has not solved the problem.

Has anyone encountered this and not been able to fix it by reindexing? What is the next step?

Remove all files from the /data_systemUmbracoIndexDontDelete folder (don't delete the folder, only the files it contains) (index may be corrupt)

And after that, reindex the site.

    Cheers,

    /Dirk

OK trying that now. Will let you know in 3-4 hours when the reindexing finishes...

    Cheers

I deleted all the contents of that folder and reindexed but I am still receiving the same error:

No sub-file with id _kpk.f6 found

Any other ideas? It sounds like something is most definitely corrupt, but what? Is there any other way to reset these things?

If anyone's interested, I ended up copying a backup of the bin directory onto the site and that fixed the problem.

Very strange... something must have become corrupted but I have no idea what. Certainly nothing in that directory was marked as having been updated in the last month or so.
