    You can't, you can only disable the.

    Otherwise the audit trail would break, all pages which they created/ last edited, etc.

    how about deleting the user from umbracoUser table of umbraco database..

    Sure, you can delete it from the database. But expect there to be a lot of site corruption

    Disable the user and rename him / her to something like "No longer a user"?

    You also can check all tables in the database for the userid and set them to another userid, afterwards you can delte the user from the table. Not recommended and not completely safe, but I did it a while ago and it worked...
